'Don't you just love
Thunderbirds? I know I do. All the rescues and
the gadgets and the sixties stuff and the fun plots,
however forseeable the endings get. Uber dandy. I'm not
entirely sure when I first saw Thunderbirds, but I
can remember curling up on the sofa to watch them
every time there's been a re-run, and grousing to my
brother about how we couldn't see the strings in the
latest repeats.
The movie was good for a
laugh too, nit picking at all the impossible stuff and messed
up characters, but it's a pity they didn't make it more. . .
real, I guess. Believable? Maybe.
As for fanfiction, isn't it
so much fun? Even the stuff which you'd never see in a tv
episode. Especially that kind of stuff, actually.
Complicated plots and cork-screw twists are so much fun, so
long as they all stay in character.
Especially Virgil and
Gordon.
The only shame about
Thunderbirds is how they never made The Hood anything more
than a cartoon Bad Guy, like some stereotypical cardboard
cut-out who's never much of a danger and never comes anywhere
close to winning. He could be so much more! He could be evil!
It's such a pity that he's hardly anything more than a joke.
