I'm a forty-something female,
living on the west coast of the United States. And, as
it seems with everything else in my life, I came to the
Thunderbirds backwards. I saw the 2004 movie
first. And I really enjoyed it. I was fascinated by the
premise - a family, living on an island, running an
anonymous rescue operation.
That sent me to the Internet, searching for fan-fiction on the
Thunderbirds. Which in turn led me to Boomercat's
writing. She and I began to correspond, and one day, her
Thunderbirds DVDs appeared in the mail, carefully stacked
in chronological order. After that, I was completely hooked on
the original Thunderbirds!
What can I say? You have six handsome men living on an island,
performing acts of unsung heroism. It's the stuff dreams are
made of.
