Once upon a time
there was a girl who loved stories. Particularly stories
with heroes. That girl used to make up stories as she
wandered around the playground or walked home from
school or rode her bike or played with her toys.
Moving on a few years,
the girl picked up a pen and started writing some of those
stories down. They were awful - she knew that even as she
wrote them, so she threw them away - but by then the addiction
of writing was too strong to ignore so she kept writing.
After many more years,
she took a brave step and permitted a friend to read just a
segment of one of the multitude of scribblings that have been
recorded. And the friend liked it. And suggested she share
some of the stories with the world.
The girl (if she can
still call herself that) was a little hesitant. After all,
none of these stories were really written for an audience:
they were just a product of her (somewhat obsessive) need to
write. But in the end she agreed and sat down to select a
fandom filled with heroes to share a little of her own
perspective on. In the end, she chose a world of heroes, the
world of the Tracy boys.
She doesn't remember when
she first heard of them, or where she first saw them - in some
ways it seems like she has always known them - but they have
taken up residence in a corner of her mind and no doubt they
will continue to live there for some time yet.
And now, as she looks
around at her esteemed company on this site she feels more
than a little bewildered but very flattered; and she hopes
that her small contribution will not be too out of place.
