My brothers’ childhood fondness for Thunderbirds paved the way for my own love of the show and it has been building since I was nine-years-old. I’m now at University and I still adore it. Indeed, this show introduced me to the concept of fanfiction; I experimented in those early days but was just hopeless. I just can’t write rescue-scenes because I have so much trouble with technicality, so you won’t find any of those in my stories. However, I pay tribute to the show in my own way; by writing humour fanfiction, often with Gordon at the core of it because he is my favourite character. I like to study the relationships between the Tracy brothers because I think it’s touching that it’s a family-organisation and therefore this can prompt some more serious pieces from me. You’ll find that I’m one of those fangirls who, outraged by the complete lack of interaction between John and Gordon Tracy in the series and also by John’s miniscule role, goes out of the way to give John a principal role in many of my fanfics.
