I have loved
                        Thunderbirds forever. I can't remember a specific
moment when it suddenly became clear, just the feeling
that I've loved the characters, the stories and the
explosions since I was a child. No-one else in my family
can quite understand it, but a little eccentricity is to
                        be desired.
                  I do remember buying Dinky
toy Thunderbird 1 and 2 (with Thunderbird 4 inside - that was
the best thing) from under the nose of a small boy at a jumble
sale. I remember becoming the coolest aunt in the world by
buying all the DVDs and actually watching them. And I remember
complaining to Carlton that the Thunderbirds PC game I
bought was the most awful waste of money, and 'did they have
any idea how disappointed my (fictional) sibling was.' I got a
watch and a jigsaw for my trouble.
                  Writing Thunderbird
fan fiction is an easier question. I've written it even before
I realised it was called fanfic. There was something about the
characters that spoke to me and I wanted to take them out of
the box and play with them again and again. If I didn't write
it down, they bounced around inside my head day and night. I
thought I was just weird. Then I discovered the internet...
The first full story I wrote
was in a lovely long summer when I should have been studying
for exams. I passed, but my priorities were obviously
clear. This is the first time I've let anyone else read my
scribblings. I am so humbled by the fact that other people are
reading them and that they seem to enjoy them too. Thank you.
